Digital Equity Resources for Libraries
ALA advocates with and for libraries to ensure their eligibility and inclusion in federal, state, and local programs. ALA will continue to add to this web page and share policy information, best practices, funding opportunities, and a range of resources from libraries and partner organizations to support your digital equity work. We also encourage you to share your stories with us so we can continue to share the contributions libraries are making to advance digital equity in communities across the country.
Resource Highlights
The federal government passed the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) to advance digital equity, literacy, and inclusion for all. To learn more about the current status of the IIJA programs visit our Federal Funding Opportunities page
Join ALA’s Digital Inclusion Working Group for regular policy updates and peer-to-peer connection. Come ask questions, share resources and get connected with other library workers interested in digital equity work taking place in libraries across the country! The working group meets on the last Tuesday of each month and has an accompanying Connect Space.
